Claire is a senior associate in our financial services regulatory team and one of the co-founders of the Freshfields Fintech group.
Taking advantage of the combination of her financial services practice and scientific background, she is keenly interested in developments in financial services, including new methods of carrying out payments, uses of DLT and the regulation of virtual currencies and blockchain technology. Claire is active in attending and contributing to Fintech events and regularly presents to clients on Fintech matters.
She advises on financial services regulatory matters in both an advisory and a transactional context. Claire advises on both domestic and European financial services regulatory issues including, most recently, assisting financial institutions with MiFID 2 implementation and Brexit planning. She has been published in a number of legal journals and other publications, such as The Practitioner’s Guide to MiFID 2, the Journal of International Banking Law and Regulation and LexisNexis Corporate Resolution and Insolvency.
